I've been given two kittens...yey!!

Hello all.
If you've been reading this blog lately you will know of the very sad tale of a little kitten called Kerby.

But out of a sad tale has come a happy ending for two (yes two!) other little kitty cats. Last week at work I told the story of Kerby to a work colleague who then in turn told me of a friend of his who had 3 kittens at his farm who needed to go to good homes.

A telephone call later and a date and time was set for me to pop along and take a look and see if I could possibly fall in love with and offer one a home...let's face it who wouldn't fall in love with kittens?

So on Thursday I went along with the intention of having one kitten but came away with two!!! The other little one had already found a home, which is probably a good thing as I would now be trying to control 3 of them.

So here they are....

They are both 12 weeks old but the black one is a lot smaller than the grey and white one (neither has a name yet).

The little black one is so friendly, he settled down on my lap straight away whereas the grey one is taking a little longer to get used to her new surroundings. For the first two days she has been sitting under the chair with huge eyeballs looking terrified but today I managed to persuade her to settle on my lap and fall asleep. I then felt a bit guilty because I needed to go to the loo after an hour and had to move her!

This is an action shot of play time....

Swiftly followed by exhaustion, they're both flat out and snoring here!!!

They are great fun and I think we'll be very happy living together.

THE END

  4. Yep he is. They seem to just flop where they are and sleep for ten minutes and then all hell breaks loose and they're zooming from room to room with me caught in the middle of it all.

It's a bit tricky to navigate the living room with a cup of tea!

  5. They are so cute. When we first had a kitten she climbed up the curtains and sat on the pole. Maybe she was a circus cat?

  6. She could well have been a high wire kitty.

Do you know what Bella, I think I've got all that to come...

  10. Oh, I just love kittens and your two are beautiful - our cat Ruby hid under the sofa for the first two days that we had her and we couldn't coax her out with food or anything. She is now the friendliest and sweetest of all our cats!

June, the grey and white one has now settled in she's still a bit nervous but getting better and allowing me to pick her up occasionally - result!
