A quiet moment

Just before the Morris Men arrived in the village today I took a moment to look around Newland church which is known locally as the cathedral of the Forest of Dean. I'm not particularly religious but I do like churches.

This one in particular is lovely and has lots of interesting little features and significant local historical items. As I had the church to myself I was able to get up close and get a few interesting shots.

Anyone for bingo?

  3. What a lovely church. Pouring with rain here, but the garden needs it. Should be getting on with my course but thought I'd just look at a blog or two, or three, or four!!!
