Lovely, lovely, lovely

Before starting work yesterday I popped into a charity shop for a quick mooch, as I only had £4 in my purse I was half hoping that I wouldn't find something that I would fall in love with and be unable to afford.

As I rummaged through the fabric boxes I came across three remnants of old felt. Luckily I could afford them. Old felt seems to be of a better quality than some of the new stuff on the market. Now I've just got to come up with an idea for it's use.

Whilst at the till waiting to pay I also noticed this lovely hand painted folk art wooden plaque for just 50p!! Needless to say I rescued that too.

Whilst on holiday in Devon I spotted these cheerful storage jars sitting on a shelf in a branch of Oxfam. They're from the Gray's Pottery, I love them to bits. I was going to sell them on eBay but I don't think I can part with them now.

  1. I always worry about going somewhere like a car boot sale & not having enough money to buy something really exciting, so I'm always relieved if I don't see anything else I want if I've spent it all!

    The storage jars are lovely.

  2. Hi Lizzie, thank you for *unlurking* and saying hello! Always lovely to find another blog friend, and not a million miles away either. I wonder why older felt is of better quality? Probably the wool mix - I would not have parted with those storage jars either, they are so very nice. :)
