He's behind yoouuu!

Last Friday our family group spent an evening at the theatre (I know we are extremely cultured!).

Actually we popped to the town hall to watch a pantomime performed by the Lydney & District Dramatic Society who were helped along by the children of the 'Scene Setters' group. They performed The Dragon of Wantley.

It was all you could ever want from a pantomime, it was funny, cheeky, colourful, lively, and most of all, very entertaining.

The scenery and the costumes where brilliant and the acting was fantastic. All the actors had so many lines to learn and they did it with ease.

There was the obligatory baddie...

the pantomime dame...

the pantomime horse...

the witch...

singing and dancing...

the funny costume that nearly made me wee myself...

the slapstick...

and last but not least...the ugly bugs who were one of the highlights of the evening.

We had a lovely evening of booing, singing and laughing...well worth the entrance fee!

  2. Mum has always been involved in the local panto. And we HAVE to go, (read no option there, your Mother is in it so you can't say no) and it is lovely that people have the get up and go. Me, I take my hat off to them, having never got past the ballet school children taking part.

Glad you had such a lovely time. Not tempted to be in it next year?????????????

  3. I don't think slapping my thigh regularly and air kissing is me really,

(if actors do that sort of thing any more - darling)

  5. Hey Pea Pod,

I'm good, i've just been relishing doing nothing at all so far this year, after the chaos of last year, moving, being ill and then christmas and new year, but this weekend i realised i was looking forward to returning to blogland, seeing what everyone had been up to, posting about a few things i've been up to and getting back in to some actually crafting, in my actual craft room!

Well i'm really looking forward to seeing your new website, the pictures from the craft fair were lovely, looked just like my kinda stall, so if that's anything to go by, your website will be wonderful, again, i wish you lots of luck!

    Cate, x
