On my way to work each day I travel through beautiful countryside. It's only a 15 minute drive but through the trees and hedges I can see little glimpses of farmland planted with rape seed and corn.
For the past few weeks I've been keen to get out and take a one or two photos of the poppies that have grown up amid the crops...today I finally got around to doing just that.
The poppies are so delicate, like beautiful tissue paper flowers that are here for a short time and then the rain comes and they are gone.
I'm always fascinated by corn fields. Everything is so neat with all the spears standing upright in straight rows very satisfying to look at, but it does make me want to just dive in as though it's a corn swimming pool.
I'll be keeping my eye on these fields because I intend to go back to take more photos as soon as the corn turns that wonderful golden colour. It would be brilliant to get a photo of a field mouse or something equally as exciting but I'm not too light on my feet so that ain't going to happen I should imagine.
Whilst wandering around trampling someones crop I was amazed by how many different types of butterfly there were, they were everywhere but very hard to photograph. I managed to get this one though.
I hope you've enjoyed this little nature ramble...catch up with you all soon xx
