The body shaping is about to start.
As with most people one of my new year goals is to get fitter, loose a little weight and tone up a bit. I wouldn't say that I'm over weight but I do feel that I lack energy on times and there's a definite wobble to parts of my body that wasn't there in my twenties.
So action has to be taken. Before I packed away my TV I had started a home fitness routine which consisted of a daily workout using a DVD. I loved it and noticed a difference in my body shape really quickly.
I'm going to try and do some form of exercise every other day so as well as using my DVD I'll also be using the gym at work and getting out and about for the odd stroll. I was taken through my gym induction ages ago but as yet I've not actually got my gear on and worked up a sweat!
So wish me luck...I just know it's going to hurt.
Good luck! My daughter teaches Zumba and Body Pump and her classes are huge right now with people who want to get into shape. Seems like Zumba is very popular because it's fun to dance the hour away. Hope you enjoy!

Gosh your daughter must be really toned and fit. I have a Zumba DVD but when their arms are up mine are down and when they're on the floor I'm standing up...I'm not very coordinated with my movements!
DeleteGood luck. Nice having a gym at work. I plan to walk loads once I am up at the cottage and will have to find a way to down load a fitness dvd on to the ipad to watch.
ReplyDeleteI have been sorting and found lots of photos of some slim person who looks a lot like me. How did I get so fat?????
Ha ha, Poppy Cottage you crack me up with your slim person picture and I bet your not fat at all! You always look lovely in your photos. I think it's just about feeling comfortable in your clothes isn't it. As soon as you feel that things are getting a little too tight it's time to cut down! I don't want to become one of those people who fret abut it all the time though that's just plain boring!
ReplyDeleteoooh, that photo looks scary to me! Good luck with it!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Lizzie, it's for a good cause....I think half the battle is actually getting started. I've heard it said it only takes 3 weeks to develop a new habit, so hang in there.
